The battle has begun! First and second graders are competing in Battle of the Books this week. Students have read 10 books that have been nominated for the SC Book Award. They are working in groups to answer questions in a bracketed tournament to determine a champion. Good luck to our first and second graders!

On Wednesday at Flat Rock, we will continue Caroling in the Commons. Second grade will perform at 10:30, K5 at 11:15, and fourth at 1:15. We will also have Terrific Kid at 8:00, and it’s Ugly Christmas Sweater day.

On Tuesday, the caroling schedule will be first grade at 9:45 am, K4 at 11:15 am, 3rd grade at 12:30 pm, and 5th grade at 2:00 pm. On Wednesday, the caroling schedule will be second grade at 10:30 am, K5 at 11:15 am, and 4th grade at 1:15 pm.

We have a lot going on at Flat Rock this week. We will have caroling in the commons area on Tuesday and Wednesday. Wednesday is also Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. Thursday is PJ day. Students can pay $1 to wear their pajamas to school. Students must meet dress code. We will dismiss early on Friday at 12:10 pm. We look forward to seeing you this week.
