Sweetening their vocab skills! Mrs. Vaughn's 1st graders enjoyed cinnamon rolls as a tasty way to remember their synonyms โ learning has never been so delicious! ๐

Tommy Miller, the Recruitment and Retention Officer for the Anderson County Fire Department, visited with K4 and K5 students last week to doecuss fire safety. Mr. Miller used a Stop, Drop, and Roll inflatable to demonstrate what to do in case of a fire. Students also talked about smoke alarms, listened for the sounds the alarms make, and had a fun-filled visit with Sparky, the Fire Dog. ๐๐ฅ๐











Blarney! What fun we had on St. Patrick's Day! ๐โ๏ธ










Don't forget to join us for STEM Night tomorrow, March 18th, from 6:00-7:00 pm, sponsored by Duke Energy! Students will be able to dive into exciting, hands-on activities that spark curiosity and innovation! Flat Tinker, our robot friend, will be out and about to take pictures and oversee all of the fun. ๐ฌโจ
Our Scholastic Book Fair will also be open for business, and our 1st graders will perform in their spring musical! We can't wait to see you there! ๐๐ผ


In preparation for St. Patrick's Day, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Vaughn's 1st grade classes read "How to Catch a Leprechaun" and then completed a how-to writing explaining their perspective on how to best catch a leprechaun. Afterward, students worked together to construct their very own classroom leprechaun traps to make sure no tricks would be played in the classroom on St. Patrick's Day! โ๏ธ๐







Dance for a Difference was a glowing success! ๐We are proud to report that we raised approximately $1,500 that will go directly to United Way! Great job, everyone! ๐๐ป๐บ๐ผ๐ชฉ
