20-21 CHS ANGLERS
Kickoff meeting will be held on Thursday August 27 from 7-8pm. Meeting will be at Jon and Allyson's house at 1214 Agnew Rd, Starr, SC. You will need a boat (and a partner if you have one already). This will include all current team members and any new members that would like to be part of our team. We will have all necessary paperwork and team fees are due. High School fees are $75 per angler and middle school fees are $65 per angler. Sponsor money is due no later than September 16. We look forward to an exciting new year that kicks off in September. As a reminder, Starr-Iva Middle will have its "New to District Student Registration" tomorrow (Aug. 13th) from 8:30am to 3:00pm in the Media Center. Only one parent/guardian should attend and masks are required. Please use the athletic entry doors in the side parking lot. You will need two proofs of residence, the student's birth certificate, and immunization records. If you have questions, please call the school. You will also have the opportunity to pay fees online or in person.
Also, any currently enrolled students who parent/guardian needs access to technology to register their student is encouraged to come tomorrow (8/13) as well.
Tryouts/Practice for the first ever Crescent High Girls Golf team will begin the week of August 17! All interested students rising 7th grade and up are encouraged to contact Coach Anthony Lown at lowns@acsd3.org for more information on practices, locations, etc.

As of July 31, 2020, the South Carolina Department of Education mandated:
"Students and staff in South Carolina public schools must wear a face-covering upon entering a school building, moving through hallways, during carpool/bus drop off or pick up, and when social distancing is not possible or optimal. Student face coverings may be removed upon teacher or administrator direction while in the classroom or during special activities outside the classroom."
This mandate follows our mask policy stated by Mrs. Hipp in the superintendent update last week. Masks will be provided for students when boarding buses or before entering the school building if they do not have one.

SIMS will conduct its collection/pick-up days next week (5/26-5/29). Please review the attached guidelines as we hope it will answer any questions you may have. However if you have an additional question, please give us a call. An email was also sent with this information.
Tomorrow (Fri. May 15th) is the last day for locker clean-out. The school will be open from 8am to 3pm. Any unopened lockers will be cleaned out by the school after this date and materials will be donated or disposed of. Thank you for your help with this.

Our friends at AnMed Health are asking for our help by making and donating masks (of an approved pattern) to our amazing frontline workers in healthcare. If you are of the crafty nature and have the time and talents to contribute we know they would greatly appreciate it. If you cannot deliver the masks to AnMed personally, we are here to help.
