
Ruby Mattia-McMullan, a senior at Crescent High School, gave the closing address at the S.C. Commission on Higher Education's College and Career Decision Day Rally at the state house. This year, Ruby has served the commission as one of ten College Process Ambassadors. ๐ค๐ฏ

To promote safety and well-being on electronic devices, we launched Neptune Navigate this semester to increase Digital Citizenship instruction. Each quarter, students and staff will complete lessons related to the proper use of digital resources. As technology advances, we must ensure our students and staff are informed of the dangers of the digital world and understand the means to utilize electronic resources responsibly! ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ป๐ฑ๐

-Mrs. Nikita Cowan is Starr-Iva's Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Cowan is an 8th Grade English Teacher at SIMS. Nikita devotes herself to investing in our school. She always puts students first to ensure all of their needs are met.
-Officer Kenta Cowan is Starr-Iva's Support Staff of the Year! As the school's Resource Officer, Mr. Cowan works diligently to ensure SIMS students and staff are safe. In addition, Kenta works to foster relationships with students, supporting them throughout their middle school experience.

Meet Anderson 3's newest Rookie Teacher of the Year, Ms. Ryleigh Davis! ๐ฅณ๐
Ms. Davis is a first-grade teacher at Flat Rock Elementary. "Ryleigh walked in the first day of school with the skills of a veteran teacher. She loves her students, has worked hard to develop meaningful relationships with them, teaches them well, and has established an excellent working relationship with her grade-level teammates, administrators, faculty, and staff. Her classroom management is a 100 A+, and she works tirelessly to make sure she is giving her students the best she's got, and she expects the same in return from them."

-Mr. Phillip Jones is Flat Rock's Support Staff of the Year! Mr. Phil is the Facilities Lead at "The Rock." Phil leads with a servant's heart and is genuinely committed to serving the students and staff of Anderson 3.

Crescent High School was visited by South Carolina's Be Pro Be Proud mobile workshop. The 53-foot custom-built trailer includes eight simulators for trades such as truck driving, forklift operating, excavator operating, welding, and carpentry. Students enjoyed taking a hands-on virtual look into trade careers! ๐โก๏ธ๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐ญ
