"What do you value most about your position?"
"I think my co-workers make the difference. We work together, support each other, and really care about each other. Teaching is not easy, but the people you work with can make all the difference. If you are willing to be patient and remember, maybe even more important than the subject I teach is the fact that I have the opportunity to help create confident, caring, successful young adults."
Here are three facts about Ms. Abernethy:
1. I have 13 great-nieces and nephews. 🧒🏻👧🏻
2. I have a brother-in-law who has been part of the family longer than I have.
3. I have driven a dog team on the Yukon River, gone ice fishing, and seen the Northern Lights. 🥶
We are blessed to have Ms. Abernethy; she is a #A3AllStar! Congratulations! 💛

Following quick actions from Crescent PlaySafe trainer Chelsea Puckett and other responders, she was thankfully resuscitated. After this scary experience, Lydia was cleared, jumped back into cheer, and finished her season strong. 📣💙🏈
We are thankful for Lydia's determination and our athletic trainer Ms. Puckett. Because of Chelsea, Lydia can cheer another season in the fall.
Lydia is more than deserving of a PlaySafe Comeback Award, and we are proud for her to receive it at the recent 2023 Awards Gala. Congratulations! 🏅🎉

In the realm where knowledge blooms,
Where wisdom's seeds find ample room,
There stands a noble guiding light,
A beacon through the darkest night.
Teachers, guardians of countless minds,
Whose passion for learning gently binds,
They weave the fabric of tomorrow's grace,
Empowering hearts to find their place.
With patience, they unveil the unknown,
Planting seeds of curiosity sown,
They nurture dreams, they spark the flame,
Illuminating paths to endless aim.
In classrooms filled with laughter's cheer,
Their words resound, dispelling fear,
They mold the clay of tender hearts,
Shaping young minds with countless arts.
With every lesson carefully designed,
They nurture potential, unconfined,
Unleashing dreams, igniting fires,
Fanning flames of endless desires.
They lend an ear, they wipe a tear,
They celebrate triumphs, conquer fear,
In their embrace, every voice finds worth,
A sanctuary where dreams give birth.
From nursery rhymes to scholarly prose,
From equations complex to life's repose,
Teachers guide us through the grandest tome,
With wisdom, they make this world their home.
Their love for learning knows no bounds,
Their patience, like an eternal sound,
They inspire minds to reach the skies,
Unleashing dreams, where passion lies.
Oh, teachers, you're the shining stars,
Guiding souls past the universe's bars,
With gratitude, we sing your praise,
Forever indebted to your righteous ways.
In classrooms, you sculpt the future's clay,
With every word you lovingly say,
So here's to the teachers, faithful and true,
This ode to you, our heartfelt THANK YOU!
