Our Habitat for Humanity Anderson Women Build team had a blast this Saturday working on constructing a home for a much-deserving future homeowner!๐ท๐จ๐










2nd Graders at Starr Elementary had a SWEET time making pies in a cup! The lesson went along with their informational writing unit, which requires students to write to teach others about a topic. To kick off the How-to topic, they followed instructions on how to make pie in a cup. Yummy! ๐๐๐ฐ











Ashlea Hatcher, our Coordinator of Early Learning, and Starr Elementary Assistant Principal Ariel Davis recently presented at POWER UP!, an afterschool program event by the South Carolina Afterschool Leaders Empowered. Their presentation focused on Creating an After School Program that is Academically Driven and Fun! Great job, Ashlea and Ariel! ๐๐ผ๐คฉ๐

7th Graders in Mr. Howell's Geography class at Starr-Iva Middle created travel itineraries after studying the Geography of Middle Eastern countries. After choosing a country, students researched accommodations, climate, culture, and history for the most accurate itinerary. Great job! ๐ฎ๐ฑโ๏ธ๐







Mr. Josh Gray, Crescent High School's Teacher Cadet instructor, recently became one of 10 state-wide finalists for Winthrop University's Jessie Williams "Leading the Way" Award for outstanding mentorship. The award recognizes mentor teachers who support and guide new and future educators. Mr. Gray was also awarded $1,000. Congratulations! ๐๐
