Support Staff of the Year - Mr. Matthew Gibson
Mr. Matthew Gibson serves on our Facilities team at Starr-Iva Middle, but he is so much more than this title to our school. Mr. Matthew is known for his ever-present smile and kind heart. Every morning, as the students and staff arrive, they are greeted by his cheerful demeanor and warm greetings. It is questionable if this guy ever has a bad day. Mr. Gibson takes the time to learn everyone's names, making each person feel valued and seen. Whether he's scrubbing floors or working around the school, he approaches every task with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Beyond his duties, he goes out of his way to build relationships, often stopping to chat and listen to anyone who needs a friend. His infectious laughter echoes through the hallways, brightening even the gloomiest of days. Students and staff alike admire him not just for his hard work, but for his genuine kindness and the personal interest he takes in their lives. Mr. Matthew’s presence is a constant reminder that true goodness and a simple smile can make a world of difference. We are thankful and blessed to have Mr. Matthew on our team!
