Iva Elementary School will have a drive-thru eLearning packet pickup in the car rider line at the back of the school for additional work and drop-off for completed work on Thursday, April 2nd from 7-9 AM and from 4-6 PM. This is for ALL K-2 parents and ONLY for 3-5 parents who cannot and have not been able to access work digitally. Additional packets are available digitally on our eLearning website: bit.ly/A3elearn.
To turn in completed packets, you may also scan or take a photo of the packets and email them to your child’s teacher. There will be a drop-off bin available outside these hours on Thursday and Friday until 12PM in the front of the school.
When you pick up or download the next packet of work, it will contain assignments for six weeks. At this time, your student is only responsible for the first three weeks of assignments. The extra three weeks are being provided in case the school closure is extended past April 30th.
***This is a special message for 5th grade students and parents:
Mrs. Cann would love to do a novel study with you for this next segment of elearning. If you could come by on Thursday April 2nd from 7am-9am or from 4pm-6pm, you can pick up the novel. If not, please contact the school so that we can make arrangements during school hours (8am-1pm Monday-Friday).
As always, please contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your patience in this time of uncertainty. Thank you; we miss you and hope you have a wonderful weekend! ❤️

Today’s materials pickup was a success! Thanks to the staff at IES for pulling together and making it happen. If you were unable to come today and still need materials for the extended e-learning time, the materials will be available for pick up from 8:00am- 3:00pm. Please park in the front lot and come to the porch. We will bring materials out to you. If you are unable to come tomorrow during these times, please call the school, and we will work with you to make arrangements. Finally, please remember that e-learning begins tomorrow. Office hours for teachers are from 9:00am-10:30am and then again from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Please contact us if you have ANY questions; we are more than happy to assist you! Again, thanks for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented circumstance. We are anxiously awaiting our students’ return!
IES Families,
Tomorrow, we will have a materials pickup in the car rider line at the back of the school from 8am-2pm. Parents picking up chrome books for grades 3-5 and possibly e-learning packets as well will go through the left lane in an effort to sign out chrome books. Parents picking up necessary e-learning packets ONLY will go through the right lane of traffic. Please do NOT get out of your car. We will deliver everything to you as quickly as possible. Check with your student and your student’s teacher to ensure they have what they need. If they are K-2 and have their e-learning packets for the extended break, you do not have to come pick up materials. This materials pickup tomorrow is only for students who do not have necessary materials with them at this time in order to complete the extended elearning assignments from Wednesday, March 18th until the end of the month. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher or call the school in the morning. We are more than happy to help as we are navigating this process for the first time alongside you. Thank you for your support. We hope you and your families stay healthy, and we are already missing your sweet children.
Iva Elementary will be raising money for March of Dimes on March 16-19. Students can purchase a nameplate to display outside their classrooms for $1.00. They may purchase as many of these as they would like! ANY class that raises $40 will be treated to an extra recess! The class with the most money raised will also win a pizza party! Let's work together for stronger, healthier babies!
Parents, as you know, flu season is upon us. Please take extra precautions to make sure our kids remain healthy. Washing book bags and jackets will help in this process. This is just a reminder that students must be fever-free for 24 hours before they return to school.
