TIGER CROSS COUNTRY! Each summer, members of the cross country team are challenged to run 100 miles. This summer, we had 12 students to qualify, with junior Michael McCall running the most at 178 total miles. As a team, xc ran 2,216 total miles. We are extremely proud of the hard work they’ve put in. To celebrate, the 100 mile club went to Helen, GA to go tubing on Saturday, August 10th.

Kelsi Bradshaw won Grand Champion Charolais where she then advanced to win 5th Overall Champion Female out of the 170+ head of cattle that were registered in the show! To add to their accomplishments, Brent Erwin won Reserve Champion Intermediate Sales Talk and was the 11th highest scoring intermediate in the cattlemen’s contest, and Emily Wilson was the 13th highest scoring senior in the cattlemen’s contest. From the A3 Daily, June 18, 2019! For 43 years as softball coach at Crescent High School, Coach Gary Adams built a legacy on the foundation of individual players working as a team to be “Champions.” In 1995, he also led the community in a joint effort to raise over $50,000 to build a “Field of Dreams” at the high school. Upon completion of the field, the School Board approved a proclamation at the September 11, 1995 meeting to name the new softball field at Crescent High School the Gary D. Adams Field. When Coach Adams retired from coaching, he made one request that further emphasized his belief in a team effort. He asked that the field that bears his name be changed to include his wife. At the June 10, 2019, Anderson District Three Board of Trustees meeting, the Board unanimously approved his request to rename the field, Gary and Kathy Adams Field, to recognize the team that has left a lasting impact on our school, our district, and our community. A new scoreboard along with the new name will be erected at the Gary and Kathy Adams field in the fall of 2019.
