Meet #A3AllStar, Mrs. Julie Loftis! ๐
Mrs. Loftis has been a Special Education Resource Teacher at Flat Rock Elementary for nine years. She began her journey as a Special Education Paraprofessional in 2004. After falling in love with working with students and seeing their progress despite obstacles, she obtained a bachelor's in Early Childhood/Elementary Education with an add-on in Learning Disabilities in 2009. She taught fifth grade until becoming a Resource teacher. Mrs. Loftis also holds a master's in Reading Literacy! Julie and her husband Shea live in Starr. They have two grown children and a grandson.
"What do you value most about teaching?"
"The most valuable part of my position is building students' confidence through their learning journey. My favorite part of my job is seeing my students' "light-bulb" moments! Everything I do, I do for the children. That is what makes my job so special. I learn from children just as much as they learn from me. It is very rewarding to see my students make the gains they make to be successful."
Congratulations, Mrs. Loftis! Thank you for being a true rockstar! ๐
