IVA, SC, MARCH 25, 2022 - Anderson School District 3 announced today a new partnership with the national nonprofit DonorsChoose to help teachers tap into a network of 4 million donors to support classroom projects and more seamlessly align with district strategy and operations.
Teachers in Anderson School District 3 have raised $178,000 and completed over 390 projects on DonorsChoose. These projects vary from books to laptops and other tools to enhance the learning environment and support student success.
“Anderson School District 3 is excited to announce a partnership with DonorsChoose,” said Anderson School District 3 Superintendent Kathy D. Hipp. “Anderson 3 takes Pride in creating teaching and learning environments for the Purpose of imparting World-Class Knowledge and Skills into South Carolina Graduates who display Passion for Life and Career Characteristics required to make a meaningful contribution to the community and society as a whole. Our hope is that our partnership with DonorsChoose will serve as a mechanism for fostering additional support for high-quality instruction.”
As one of the 400+ members of the DonorsChoose District Partnership Program, Anderson School District 3 will be able to fully support teachers in the use of the platform, ensure safety and security, and align efforts with the district’s strategic priorities. Anderson School District 3 will be able to monitor all donated materials, principals will be notified each time a project is funded, and receive early notification when there are new “match” funding opportunities.
