Tricia Wooten

Meet #A3AllStar, Mrs. Tricia Wooten! 🌟

Mrs. Wooten has taught in Anderson 3 for 27 years! She currently teaches 5th grade Math at Flat Rock Elementary. Before her current position, she taught in 3rd and 4th grade at Starr Elementary and 6th grade at Starr-Iva Middle.

A Starr-Iva native, Wooten graduated from Crescent High School and then attended Erskine College to attain her teaching degree. She and her husband Scott have been married for 22 years and have one daughter, Hannah, a Crescent graduate currently attending Clemson University.

"What do you value most about being a teacher?"

"The most valuable part of teaching is helping my students grow. That growth includes their academic ability, their confidence, and their desire to do their best. It is so exciting when a student says, 'Oh, I get it now!' or their face lights up because they finally understand a difficult concept. Being an educator is a calling. It's a commitment that can be very challenging but so rewarding!"

Here are three facts about Mrs. Wooten:

  1. Her favorite color is blue. 💙
  2. She enjoys planting and caring for flowers. 🌼
  3. 3. The beach is my favorite vacation spot. 🏖️

Congratulations, Mrs. Wooten! Thank you for your dedication to #A3Students! 💛
