Meet #A3AllStar, Sloane Moyer!
Mrs. Moyer is a 5th Grade Reading Teacher at Flat Rock Elementary School! Sloane has been teaching for six years and has taught 4th and 5th grade at Flat Rock. She attributes her educational journey to her mother, "It was my mom that sparked my love and interest in teaching. She taught first grade her whole teaching career and modeled everything a teacher should be."
When asked about what she values most about being a teacher, Moyer says, "The part I love the most about my job is the students I teach and the people that I work with. I am beyond blessed to get the opportunity to see students learn every day. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student experience success. Reading is not always a student's favorite subject, so doing anything to help them relate and be successful is the best. I've been honored to work alongside some of the most amazing educators to help make me the teacher I am today. I love my Flat Rock family!"
Here are Five Facts about Mrs. Moyer: 1. My husband and I have two beautiful daughters. Charleigh Kate is four, and Andi Grace is seven months old. 2. I am named after my great-grandfather, like my girls are named after their papas. 3. Salmon is my favorite food any way it is prepared. 4. I'm a huge Carolina Gamecocks fan. (Even when we lose.) 5. My favorite weekend activity is watching movies with my husband and our girls.
Congratulations, Mrs. Moyer! Thank you for going above and beyond for #A3Students!
