November Pledge Class

Commendations

At the November Meeting, the Board recognized the Crescent High School Marching Band for a Bronze finish in this year's SCBDA State Finals. This is the highest-ever score and placement for the Crescent Band! Representing the band were Mr. Travis Waters - Director, Jonathan Willimon - Assistant Director, Liani Solano - Drum Major, Dominick Gamez - Band Captain, Michael Powell - Assistant Band Captain , William Diedrick - Percussion Captain, Joshua Owens - Woodwind Captain, Ava Harsey - Brass Captain, Hailey Bissett - Color Guard Captain, and Alexis Cann - Assistant Colorguard Captain. Congrats, Tiger Band!

The board also recognized Anderson 3 schools that received an Excellent Rating on their 2023-2024 SC School Report Cards. Congratulations to Starr Elementary, Crescent High School, and Flat Rock Elementary.

Oaths of Office

Board Trustee, Mr. Tripp Bouknight, took his Oath of Office after being re-elected to another four-year term for the Area 2 seat.

Newly elected board trustee, Mr. Justin Burdette, completed his first-ever oath of office after being elected to serve a four-year term in Area 3. Congratulations, and welcome to the board, Mr. Burdette!

Board Election

Mr. Marty Watt was elected as Chairman of the Board, Mrs. Hannah Arnold was elected as Secretary, and Mr. Justin Burdette was selected to represent Anderson 3 on the Renaissance Academy Board.
