Crescent FBLA Heads to State!

This weekend the Crescent FBLA chapter competed at the District Leadership Conference at Dorman High School. Nine of the ten students who competed qualified for the State Leadership Conference!

  • Peyton Simmons, Sophomore, 1st Place in Agribusiness

  • Ivey Gray, James Sharp, and Haley Pepper, Seniors, 1st Place in Business Ethics

  • Tristan Meredith, Senior, 1st place in Client Service

  • Devon Loftis, Senior, 3rd Place I’m Insurance and Risk Management

  • Kaley Stevenson, Freshman, 1st Place Introduction to Business Procedures

  • Kalee LaFlamme and Jacob Ramsey, Juniors, 3rd Place Entrepreneurship

  • Abbygail Patterson, Freshman, did not qualify but competed in a highly competitive Introduction to Financial Math and still scored very high.

FBLA is excited to get to travel to Charleston in March to compete at the State level. If they place well at state they will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah this June for the FBLA National Leadership Conference! What an awesome opportunity to get to work with these amazing students who are willing to spend their Saturdays working to better themselves!

If you would like to support us financially and allow us to enrich these students' high school experiences we will need to raise about $2,500 to cover travel and registration for the state competition.

They will also need to start raising money in the event they qualify for the FBLA National Leadership Conference to cover airfare, registration, transportation, and enrichment experiences while visiting. On average this trip usually costs about $8,500 depending on the number of students that qualify.

For a lot of our students these are the best memories they will get in high school. Every dollar will raise helps us make it a memory of a lifetime! If you would like to make a donation electronically please visit this link to do so: http://bit.ly/CHSFBLA2020
