Anderson 3 Achieves Highest-Ever State Returns, Returning to #5 in SC Rankings 🥳🎉
According to SchoolDigger.com, Anderson 3 has reclaimed the #5 spot on the “best school districts” rankings for the state of South Carolina. The rank score of 0.822 is the highest in district history.
Crescent High School
Crescent High School achieves its highest-ever state ranking. CHS jumped 35 spots, now ranked 29th out of 235 high schools in the state. This places Crescent in the top 12% of high schools in the state of South Carolina.
IN EOCEP, Crescent High School improved its passage rate on EOC exams in every tested area. The largest improvement was in Algebra 1, which improved 20.84 percentage points with a passing rate of 92.2%. Students improved 7 percentage points on the English 2 exam with a passage rate of 94.35%. These scores represent the highest passage rate in Algebra 1 and English 2 for Crescent students since the inception of the EOCEP program. The passing rate for the Biology 1 exam continues to be one of the highest in the state, with 77.53% of Crescent students scoring a passing score.
Starr-Iva Middle
Starr-Iva Middle School achieves its 2nd Highest Ranking in School History. SIMS jumped 36 spots, now ranked 62nd out of 325 middle schools in the state. This places SIMS in the top 19% of middle schools in South Carolina.
In SC READY, Starr-Iva Middle School showed improvement in all grade levels in both ELA and Math. The largest improvement was in 8th-grade math, improving +19 percentage points, with 53.3% of students meeting or exceeding expectations.
Starr Elementary
Starr Elementary achieves its highest-ever state ranking! Starr jumped 22 spots, now ranked 52 out of 638 elementary schools in the state. This places Starr in the top 8% of elementary schools in South Carolina.
Flat Rock Elementary
Flat Rock Elementary achieves its 3rd highest state ranking. Flat Rock boasts a significant jump in 4th grade ELA, with 73% of students meeting or exceeding expectations. In 4th grade Math, the school jumped 12 percentage points, with 60.4% of students meeting or exceeding expectations.
Iva Elementary
Iva Elementary achieves its 2nd highest state ranking, performing better than 79.5% of elementary schools in South Carolina. Iva Elementary boasts high returns in 4th grade ELA, with 74.6% of students meeting or exceeding expectations.
